Mr: Valley News story on Sands: What a scam......1/09/11
Sand said he supported a review of Adams' actions -- “that absolutely should be looked at” -- but said concerns about police actions should not overshadow evidence that Kucera assaulted Therrien before police arrived on the scene.

Windsor County State's Attorney Robert Sand, who is prosecuting the case against Kucera, dismissed any suggestion that police were pursuing Kucera to hide their own troubles.

Mike Byrnes, I always thought you were more of a man than what you displayed yourself as. I can now see how wrong I was! Your true colors have finally shown through.

Merry Christmas Li’l Vinnie,
I also wondered what kind of effect your passing would have on us at this time each year, and then I would spot these little unexplainable things happening all around us and knew we weren’t spending Christmas without you. I knew because, as certain things take place you were the first person that came to mind no matter what we were doing, and, with that, I knew we’d never spend another Christmas without you. We Love you, VIN, and I know you still experience everything this holiday has to offer, because you let us know that in your own way.

I know this time of year must be very hard on your family. I wish you all the best and a very Merry Christmas.

To the Tamburello family: I would like to wish you all the very best at this most Holy time of the year. I hope you find justice and closure. Merry Christmas and God Bless you!

My mother was killed by a drunk driver and went free because the officer that answered the phone never said it was a recorded line and the confession on the tape was thrown out. He then went three days later WITH his lawyer to report his van stolen! This was back in 1988...Hope you have better luck. My prayers are with you and your family.

Friend, thank you for your concern You are right in that they have done this for so long that they feel they can now get away with murder. And that's exactly what they are trying to do! The shame of it is that the people cannot even get them out of office as the majority of them, including Sand, is running unopposed! It is like their own clique where no one else is allowed in, but they are a dictatorship! When they allow a murder to happen, it can never be justified. If they had just done the right thing from the beginning then this would have all been in the past and the guilty parties will have been made to pay for taking my son's life. No one from the judiciary has come to us and tried to explain that we are wrong. Instead they are just trying to cover everything up. Because of their positions they do believe they are invincible. But no one is above the law. And I will fight them until my dying breath!

Vin Sr. My brother in law is employed in the Vermont judicial system. I'd rather not say which part but I have been reading this story from day 1 and I must tell you he and many other people in the judicial system are ashamed of the actions of the state. What they have done to your family is inexcusable and reprehensible! You are right in your assumption that this was done for their informants. I am writing to tell you that if you want justice for your son you must get it out of Vermont. You will never get justice if you don't. They can't allow it. If the true story ever comes out, there will be jobs lost and humiliation for Vermont. These people have done this for years. They have gotten away with it for so long they think they are invincible! But no one has gone as far as you have! I commend you! But I must also warn you they are now protecting themselves more than the defendants. I wish I could tell you more but I can tell you this; you are on the right track! Keep at it. Don't let them get away with this. You have them on the defensive! Good Luck and God Bless.

I really respect the strength and courage the victims family has shown throughout this case. As an observer and a student preparing to enter law school, I am appalled at the way the state of Vermont and Robert Sands have handled this case. Obviously the actions of the individual who committed the shooting were those far beyond the realm of self-defense. I think this case really conveys the corruption within the legal system and how important access to money is in delaying sentencing and altogether avoiding conviction. If the individual who committed this crime did not have access to large sums of money and was an ethnic or religious minority, he would already have two years of prison behind him. District Attorney Sands really needs to be replaced. He let Martha Davis, a lawyer, off without any penalty after she was caught by state authorities with copious amounts of marijuana growing on her property. Marijuana, she planted, and subsequently consumed. If the guilty party was a 22 year old male landowner or a blue-collar family, what would their verdict of been? It really has come time for Vermonters to get involved within the political and legal realm as unchecked and left to its own devices it has fallen into stagnation, decay, and inequality. In solidarity with the Tamburello's, I too hope justice prevails and the individual who murdered your son and accomplices involved are awarded just prison sentence to answer to their crimes of murder and accessory to murder.

Our hearts go out to all of you on the upcoming trials of the men that killed your son. I can only imagine how you must feel and what you are going through.Rest assured that the majority of people in the area that will be on the jury know your pain. There will be justice for your son. God Bless you.

Ronni, Vin & Family - I am saddened to hear this story of how Lil Vin was murdered. I am not surprised that you will fight this fight for justice until you get it, that is what I know about true Townies, having grown up there. Do not let these animals get away with what they did to your son. Lil Vin is an angel now, and watching over your family from heaven. He must be so very proud of what you are doing to keep this site up and the pressure on the State of Vermont to bring the killers to justice. Good luck! I will follow the site to keep updated.
May your son sleep in peace.

Mr. Tamburello. I want to offer my sincerest condolences to you and your family. I can't imagine the pain and heartache you go through on this occasion. To be made to relive this due to Robert Sand's despicable actions is criminal! We in our prayer group pray for you and your family every day. We are so ashamed for what Sand has done because we are Vermont people and we know the rest of the country is looking upon us with shame. May God Bless you all and end your suffering soon.

It's hard to believe it has been 2 years since Vinnie was taken from us. Even harder to believe that we are still fighting for justice. We miss you very much Vinnie! You will forever be in our hearts! We will never give up! Soon you will rest in peace. We love you!

On the 2 year anniversary of Vinnie's death I hope you find peace. Please know that we are praying for you and stand behind you in your fight. These evil men, including Sand will receive justice. God will make sure. God Bless you and hold you in his care.

Mr. Tamburello. You are very right about Sand. No matter what he does this will haunt him for the rest of his life. He is no good and does not deserve to be in that position. When he made his deals with those men he was not even concerned about us. Releasing those men jeopardized all of us. He really should be ashamed of himself! God Bless you and help you in your struggle.
